Donald Trump has won a landslide victory in the Iowa caucuses, cementing his status, if any confirmation was ever needed, as the clear front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

He picked up 51.1% of votes, almost 30% points clear of his nearest rival, Ron DeSantis.

There is a long way to go till the presidential elections next November but it looks increasingly likely to be a rerun of the 2020 election which Democrat’s Joe Biden won. A result still denied by Donald Trump who continues to insist the result was fixed and flawed by voter fraud.
