The first installment of the Children’s Allowance will begin to be paid with the new increase of €250 per year for all children

At the end of this week, the first installment will be paid with the new increase in the children’s allowance that covers the first three months of next year. This payment contains the increase of €250 per year per child, and this measure will affect more than 41,285 families and 62,000 children in a good way. These details were announced by the Minister for Social Policy and Children’s Rights, Michael Falzon where he spoke about the willingness and commitment of this Government to continue to improve and strengthen the situation of Maltese families. and all of Gozitan. Minister Michael Falzon not only recalled the introduction of the children’s allowance measure fifty years ago, but said that this Government continued to believe in this grant and strengthened it as part of the guarantee for children. This is in contrast to other administrations that did not always grant this benefit to all families with children.

The Minister Michael Falzon added that from next year, families whose income does not exceed €26,590, will bring in from the children’s allowance up to a maximum of €1,750 per child while a family with an income that exceeds this -the payment limit will rise to €930 per child.

Meanwhile the Minister Michael Falzon stated that at the end of this week 2,158 payments will also be paid for Allowance for Children with Disabilities with an investment of almost €1 million and 19,645 payments of the Supplementary Aid in which the investment meets the €4 million.

“This means that by the end of this week another €19.2 million will go into the pockets of families with children and vulnerable people. At the same time last week we invested €34 million with the Additional Cost of Living Benefit. Faced with all this commitment, we will remain humble, close to the little ones and with the families in order to continue to improve the quality of people’s lives”, stated Minister Michael Falzon.
