Israel-Hamas truce might be extended

Hamas had indicated that it would like to extend the current 4-day temporary truce with Israel in order to increase the number of  prisoners released from Israeli prisons.

That move appears to have been welcomed with Israel’s Prime Minister saying the present truce could be extended but warned that Israeli operations in Gaza would resume after the truce period.

So far, in three days, Hamas has released 40 Israeli hostages with 117 Palestinian prisoners released by Israel.

Today, another 12 Israeli hostages are expected to be released with around 35 Palestinians freed as well.
