UHM welcomes government commitment to supports students during teachers strike next Monday

The UHM Voice of the Workers welcomes the assurance given by the Secretary Permanent in the Office of the Prime Minister (People and Standards Section), Mrs Joyce Cassar, in relation to the teachers’ strike next Monday. This after the concern expressed by the union in case some parents do not get to work on time or have leave as there will be no school transport.

The union welcomes with satisfaction the statement that “the necessary provisions have been taken all so that workers and public officials who have school children are provided the support that is needed on Monday 27 November in connection with the strike of teachers. They can also be informed that if they need any information their bosses who are informed in this regard can talk about this.”
