Three swimmers came close to losing their lives after getting into difficulties while swimming in Golden Bay today.
They were rescued and brought to safety by surf-boarders who were in the vicinity.
A Malta Ranger Unit at the bay have warned people not to swim in the area because of a strong rip tide current in the middle of the bay.
