During a visit he made to the school, the Prime Minister noted the wonderful environment and equipped with everything necessary in which these students are being given their education.

With a common aspect that these new schools have, in the words of the Prime Minister, is that they are not only a place of formal learning, but are spaces that strengthen the skills of those children whose talents roam away from the curriculum. In fact, the school in Victoria includes, among others, classes for art and music, a multi-sensory room, an indoor gym and all the resources that prepare students for digital advances.

With the principle that guides the Government in the education sector is to have creative children, that those who see with their eyes make it with their hands and in which they develop what makes them unique and not only get the basic education.

By the year 2024, the Prime Minister explained, you will see the realization of more projects of this type. In this way, the Government is promoting a strong economy, so that the children of our country can enjoy its advantages. In fact, for this year, the vote of the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation reaches €847 million. With this school that includes 33 classes, it was made with an investment exceeding €3.5 million.

Prime Minister Abela referred to education as the foundation on which the children of our country build their dreams and aspirations to reap the opportunities that Malta offers. We must continue to provide the best possible education for everyone to reach. He encouraged the students to, in a world that is always changing, challenge the status quo and embrace new technologies to run and lead the future of Malta. In thanks to the educators, the Local Council and the community in general, the Prime Minister concluded that this school reflects a modern country with a strong economy, a country of opportunities to take our country to the next level.

The Prime Minister also had a discussion with the sixth year students, on many themes including the wealth in the community, the environment and their aspirations. A discussion during which he claimed that the more this Government meets and talks with a student, the more this Government’s determination to continue working so that we get the future right grows.

Education Minister Clifton Grima stressed that the investment in the Rabat school is translating into a top level school which is making it possible to work from one building equipped with everything necessary. He reiterated that with such projects we are regenerating the educational sector. The investment in the educational field is unprecedented. Minister Grima claimed that this is a state-of-the-art project with which the students of this school have the best environment where they can get the best possible education. With this the Government believes that our educators and students deserve the best environment from which to get their education.
