Five young people have been detained by police over the theft of motorbikes.
Police were called to a field near Misrah San Nikola, Zabbar, following reports that a fire had been lit in the field. Officers found the youths, whose ages ranged from 14 years to 14 years and 18 years. They found a number of motorbikes in the field matching the descriptions of stolen bikes. The youths also matched the description of suspects involved in the thefts.
The five suspects were taken to a police station for questioning while investigations continued.
