A Nigerian national, with a known criminal past, was deported back to Nigeria.
The man had served several consecutive prison sentences in connection with drugs offences.
He was also served with a banning order meaning he would never be allowed back into Malta.
The deportation operation was carried out by police officers and members of the Detention Services.
