Former president Donald Trump is to be charged with trying to overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election.
Trump is facing a number of charges including urging his supporters to travel to Washington DC on January 6, 2021, where the election result was due to be validated. That in turn led to thousands of Trump supporters storming the Capital building.
