An agreement was signed between the Medicines Authority and San Vincenzo de Paul with the aim of collaboration between the two entities in the fields of pharmaceuticals.
The Minister for Active Aging Jo Etienne Abela presided over the signing of this agreement. Minister Abela explained that the main objective of this agreement is to improve the quality of life of the elderly, as through this collaboration it will lead to the clinical pharmacy service being available. for patients or residents in San Vincenzo.
Through this agreement, for the next five years, the parties are looking to analyze the benefits on the quality of life of the residents inside care homes, as well as to strengthen the concept of clinical pharmacy, among other purposes. In order for the elderly to continue to be given the highest level of care, through this agreement as well, the Malta Medicines Authority together with professionals from San Vincenzo will collaborate on research on ‘drug interactions’ and adverse reactions from medicine.
