A 47-year-old man from Pieta’ was arrested after the Police received information that a drug deal was allegedly going to take place at his home.
At midday on Tuesday officers surrounded the man’s residence, but as soon as the suspect noticed the police he tried to run away and was even seen throwing some objects on the street. The man was arrested and in a bag he was carrying, around a kilo of substance suspected to be cocaine was found, as well as a small amount of a substance allegedly heroin.
The drugs had a street value of€60,000.
Further searches were carried out in his residence where drugs and cash were found.
