Prime Minister Robert Abela visited the ongoing works on the Verdala project, which is being done on the site of what used to be the Grand Hotel Verdala. A project that will be changing 2,350 square meters of space that was developed into an open space to be enjoyed by the community.
During this visit, the Prime Minister noted the commitment of the investor to develop a quality project in the area of Virtu in Victoria, which not only looks after, but respects the surrounding environment. This is because the design of the project, particularly as seen from the outside, has been designed in a way that complements the area in which it is located.
With the project consisting of a five-star hotel and residential apartments, it will not only include squares for the enjoyment of families, but also green spaces. The aim of the project is that while offering residences of the highest level, it attracts quality tourists who contribute to the economy of our country.
The Prime Minister noted with satisfaction that this private investment is being made in synergy with the priorities for this Government. Not only that which is leading to more open spaces for Maltese and Gozitan families but also that the building is intended to protect the environment. This is as it is built with the idea of not only reducing energy consumption, but reducing atmospheric emissions at a considerable rate.
This project joins a chain with more quality investment that followed the same environmental and sustainability principles in the past days when the Prime Minister visited new projects including the one from the Farsons Group of Trident Park and the Brewhouse.
During the visit, the Prime Minister was accompanied by the founder of the AX Group Angelo Xuereb, members of the Xuereb family and other members involved in the management of the company.
