The Work Trial Scheme For Youths is launched so that young Gozitans can have experience in the world of work this summer

The Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, for another year, launched the Work Trial Scheme For Youths scheme, intended for young people and Gozitan students between 16 and 20 years old, so that this summer they have an opportunity to experience the world of work with private entities and non-governmental organizations.
The Work Trial Scheme for Youths, is a scheme of the Ministry for Gozo, with the aim of introducing young people as well as students, who attend courses in various academic entities, to the world of work and also helps them in choosing the -their career. These young people will have the opportunity to integrate and explore the world of work, thus gaining the necessary experience for their future.
“Students can work both with the private sector and with voluntary associations, thus increasing the values of both work and respect and solidarity,” repeated Minister Camilleri.
He continued that this scheme, which was introduced five years ago, has always continued to be improved as the Ministry listened both to the young people who participated and to those entities that engaged them. Through this scheme, students will have earnings of €100 per week, with a total of €500 in five weeks.
The scheme starts from Monday, August 7 and will remain effective until Thursday, September 7. Anyone interested in participating can submit their application between Monday 3 July and Friday 7 July, until noon.
The application can be found online on the site https://ministryforgozo.gov.mt/en/Pages/eForms/worktrialschemeyouths.aspx or from the mobile app ‘mygozo’.
