Johnson dumped as MP’s back partygate report

MP’s have backed a report that found former prime minister Boris Johnson deliberately mislead Parliament over lockdown parties at Downing Street.

The Commons voted overwhelmingly in support of the report, by 354 to seven.

More than 200 Tory Mp’s either did not vote or abstained. Among them Prime Minister Richie Sunak who reportedly had a very important meeting which meant he could not make it to the Commons for the vote. That excuse will be pounced upon by Labour and Sunak’s critics.
