The Privileges Committee report into allegations that former prime minister Boris Johnson mislead Parliament over Partygate had concluded that he is guilty of those allegations.
The Committee recommended that if he were still a member of parliament he should be suspended for 90 days for deliberately misleading the House. That would trigger a by-election which is in fact happening since Boris Johnson resigned as an MP.
