This Summit will bring together the leaders of the 46 member countries of the Council of Europe, an international organization that was founded after the Second World War to promote and protect human rights, democracy, and rule of law in Europe.
This is the fourth Summit of the Council of Europe in the 74 years since the organization was founded. This meeting is expected to reaffirm the values and ideals of the Council. The main theme of this meeting will be the war in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian President, Volodymr Zelensky, will also be present.
