This tourism niche will surely help us attract a different type of tourist who is interested in visiting the splendour of the Maltese Islands or moreover participate in a sporting event. By hosting sports events and providing facilities for visitors, Malta can continue attracting international athletes and coaches, which can help to raise the standard of sports in the country,” remarked Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo.
