On International Women’s Day Dr Lydia Abela visits a company founded with the intention of encouraging more women to fulfill their dreams

In an event organized by the ‘Female Switch’ team, the Prime Minister’s wife Dr Lydia Abela had the opportunity to hear about the experiences of several women who made use of the ‘Female Switch’ game in order to switch the -their dreams into reality.

On International Women’s Day and under one roof in Mellieħa, Mrs. Abela said that through this idea not only are women in the world of work increasing and opening their own businesses, but more that’s why they are at the forefront of what the industry is asking for nowadays: artificial intelligence.

“Women are also being an example to others in this field and with the ideas they are coming up with because everyone can feel stuck in the beginning when they have a dream. Through ‘Female Switch’, anyone who makes use of this game developed by a woman who has created a number of projects through artificial intelligence, is turning their dreams of starting a business into reality,” said Dr Abela.

Lydia Abela also pointed out about initiatives that the Government has embarked on in recent years and that nowadays we are really seeing their fruits. “We see the free use of childcare centers in our country bearing fruit in days like today. Through the service that is given for free, more women are having a chance not only to enter the world of work, but to develop their creative ideas and create projects that the industry is so thirsty for,” she said.

‘Female Switch’, developed by Violetta Shishkina, is an immersive game that offers a simulation system where whoever is using it can create a surreal environment with the aim of starting their business from scratch. The game is created for those who have an idea about any business to enter a fictional world and learn to turn the challenges they encounter into successful opportunities.

The CEO of the company ‘Female Switch’ Mrs. Shishkina said that it is important to have more female role models for other women in entrepreneurship. She explained how this project with emerging technology gives space so that more women can fulfill their dreams and enter the business world.
