Robert Brincau has resigned as Prison Director after being found guilty of a number of offences including carrying a firearm in Mellieha without a licence and causing injury to a person.
The court sentenced Brincau to 12 months imprisonment suspended for three years.
Mr. Christopher Siegersma, who is currently the Commissioner for the Protection and Development of Prisoners, will take over as chief executive of the agency
