Responding to allegations by Arnold Cassola that he used his parliamentary position to get preferential treatment on an Air Malta flight, Labour MP Chris Bonett issued a statement claiming the allegation, amongst others, were nothing but lies.
“In the last months the attacks based on deception and lack of truth have not decreased at all. Because I rent the place where I live they tried to ridicule me. Now the last attack on a holiday that I did with the family with my two young children.
Now I have been told that Arnold Cassola has requested an investigation because the usual clique is saying that I was given some preferential treatment when I traveled with my family a few weeks ago. I paid in advance, like many other Air Malta customers do, so that my family, with two small children, could have seats next to each other. I neither asked for, nor claimed nor received any preferential treatment against the alleged one.
I have the receipts showing that I paid in advance. I look forward to what Cassola asked to show that this is another lie”.
