A few days ago, the wife of the Prime Minister, Dr. Lydia Abela, announced for the third consecutive year the ‘Gift with Love’ initiative.
This year, the initiative is taking place with a difference because it is spread throughout all the localities of Malta and Gozo and from today it is announced that food products for animals or other related products will be collected at the entrance of Mater Dei Hospital.
Together with Jake Vella, Dr Abela said that Jake’s wish for a Gift with Love this year reflects the love that Maltese and Gowis have for animals. “In him I have always admired the strong sense of altruism and that he gives a voice to those who don’t have one. Thus I encourage everyone who visits Mater Dei Hospital during this festive season to leave animal food products or other products with the aim of really having a Gift of Love with a difference,” said Dr. Abela.
For his part, Jake said that although he is hospitalized during these festive times, he is happy to have announced this initiative today together with Dr. Lydia Abela and encouraged everyone to participate to really make everyone happy. The initiative is open until December 21.
