Sir Gavin Williamson has resigned as a government minister after allegations of bullying, saying he aims to clear himself of “any wrongdoing”.
The MP had been accused of sending abusive e-mails to other MP’s and for using threatening language against civil servants.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, in Egypt for the COP 27 summit, said he accepted the resignation with great sadness and thanked him for his loyalty and personnel suport.
