Transport Minister concerned about number of road deaths

Minister for the Environment, Climate Change and Planning Aaron Farrugia announces the development of a new skip management facility on built-up land in order to avoid the use of agricultural land.

Transport Minister Aaron Farrugia said he is concerned about the number of fatalities on Malta’s roads.

Speaking to reporters on Friday he said a plan aimed at reducing the number of road fatalities would be unveiled in the coming weeks.

22 people have died in 2022 because of road traffic accidents, one less than the record set in 2016.
