Another call for Discover EU was launched, another initiative of the European Commission that gives young people an opportunity to discover and roam in Europe.
DiscoverEU offers an opportunity to young people aged 18, resident in a European Union member country, to explore cultural experiences in Europe and meet people from different countries.
More than 165,000 young men and women have been given this opportunity since 2018.
In 2022, in the context of the European Year of Youth, a total of 70,000 tickets will be given to young winners from all over Europe.
This was explained by the Parliamentary Secretary for European Funds Chris Bonett when he visited the Junior College, an educational institution that benefited from €44,362 in Erasmus+ funds to carry out a youth exchange.
Parliamentary Secretary Bonett encouraged young Maltese to participate in Discover EU which is part of the Erasmus+ program and which gives the opportunity to young people to discover Europe through learning experiences by traveling mainly by a train
“This is an opportunity for young people to help them develop life skills, experience other cultures, gain more independence and confidence that will definitely help them for their future”, said Parliamentary Secretary Bonett.
The CEO of the European Union Programs Agency National Coordinator Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps Programs Joseph Schembri said that this DiscoverEU call also joins #ErasmusDays 2022, which this year will promote international mobility and c – European citizenship.
Thousands of events celebrating the Erasmus+ Program will take place around the world. These events are a great opportunity to see how Erasmus+ projects have shaped and changed people’s lives.
