Aġenzija Sapport together with the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) will be co-hosting an international conference entitled “Quality of Life & Support Services: From Words to Action” between the 13th and 14th October 2022.
This conference will bring together over 60 international and national speakers including stakeholders from the academia, service providers, policy makers, regulators, service users, and professionals working in the disability sectors, including a trainer from UNICEF and experts from Finland, Spain,
Moldova, Scotland, Cyprus, Holland, Belgium, France, Bulgaria, United Kingdom and Hungary.
Various topics, challenges, practices and models will be discussed and shared amongst the participants coming from all over Europe and beyond. The aims of this conference are to: Provide inspiration to support services to implement modern quality measurement models
focusing on improving the quality of life of the people they support;
Showcase how such models can help service providers move forward towards better quality,
empowering and person-centred forms of support, aligned with the UN CRPD principles;
Provide training sessions, workshops and focus groups focused on different elements related to
the operation/management of a service, on person-centred and family-centred planning and quality measurement models, among others.
Topics for workshops include:
The importance of quality services;
quality measurement models and co-production;
funding opportunities;
innovation approaches in quality frameworks;
inclusive socialisation models;
accessibility of online services;
the correlation between employee’s wellbeing and service quality;
a focus group on the EU Framework for Social Services of Excellence for Persons with Disabilities.
The conference will also include a pre-conference training session on Digital accessibility & Assistive Technology which will be held on 12th October 2022.
