During a meeting held on Wednesday evening, the Premier League clubs agreed on a
statute of association between them.
The said association, provisionally known as Malta Professional Football Clubs
Association, was renamed Malta Premier League (MPL) in line with other similar
associations worldwide.
The MPL has officially written to the Malta Football Association (MFA) asking for
recognition as the sole representative of the Premier League clubs, taking the place of
the Premier League Standing Committee.
