A 51-year-old man from Zejtun was found dead at the side of a road in the town.
Police believe the dead man to have been the victim of a hit and run.
His body was found in Triq Anton Buttigieg in Żejtun, at around 11:45pm.
Accordingly to a police spokesperson, medical services were called straight away, however the victim was certified dead on scene.
Police are advising the driver of the car, or anyone who might have seen anything, to get in touch with the authorities to help with their investigation.
