Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights Anton Refalo officially opened the activities that marked the Maltese Mnarja Festival 2022 in Buskett.
The Mnarja celebrations began with a parade that started from Rabat Malta towards Buskett.
The arrival of the parade in Buskett opened an exhibition of fruits and vegetables, as well as an exhibition of birds, rabbits, dogs, horses, and indigenous animals.
In the meantime, the public could enjoy a full programme of traditional Għana on the main stage.
In his speech, Minister Anton Refalo said that the Mnarja serves as a strong showcase for the local product of farmers, who these days also celebrate their work and zeal.
He also spoke about how the government, even through massive investment, is supporting farmers, also because of the various factors that the world has recently faced and is still facing.
The minister thanked all the employees involved in the organisation of the Mnarja festivities and invited all the families to attend.
