It seems to be the norm, rather than the exception, that fish are scarce and catches are low.
This was revealed during the presentation of the prizes to the winners in this first ‘doubles’ competition of this year.
This was held at Senglea Point and the Club welcomed the
competitors who participated for the first time.
Ray Farrugia and Roderick Coleiro emerged victorious by a fine margin of 2.98 kilos while Sandro Cohen and John Attard weighed in at 1.55 kilos. Fortune Calafato and James Gilson finished third with a catch of 1.49 kilos.
The next double fishing will take place on May 15, at a location to be announced closer to the date.
