Pope Francis arrives at the Pope John XXIII Peace Laboratory in Ħal Far.

The Peace Lab is a Maltese voluntary organisation which has been around for more than 30 years and was set up following an appeal by Pope John XXIII calling for world peace. Since 2002, the Peace Lab has provided shelter to several migrants.

The Pope greeted by Peace Lab Director, Fr Dionysius Mintoff, the Franciscan priest who established the Peace Lab in 1971.
