Infrastructure Malta boss quits role

Frederick Azzopardi has quit his role as CEO of Malta Infrastructure.

Azzopardi was a driving force behind Transport and Infrastructure Minister Borg and oversaw a number of major traffic projects including the Marsa flyover and the Sta Lucia tunnels as well as the Central Link project in Attard.

He said he had informed the government last year of his intention stand down as CEO.

It is believed he will return to the private sector.
