Pope Francis arrives in Malta this morning at the start of a two day visit to the islands.
Arriving at 10am, he will be greeted at Malta International Airport in a welcome ceremony with President George Vella and Prime Minister Robert Abela.
Afterwards, Pope Francis will greet the crowd at St George’s Square from a balcony at the palace.
Later he will travel to Gozo and Ta’Pinu before travelling back to Malta.
On Sunday morning he will visit St Paul’s Grotto in Rabat before travelling to Floriana where he will celebrate mass at the Fossos.
Later the Pontiff will visit the Peace Lab at Hal Far before making his way back to Malta International Airport.
