From tomorrow, around 15,000 residents of Hamrun and Marsa will be able to access primary health services from a new community clinic that has opened in Hamrun. This auberge was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne and Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat.
In addition to the services of a doctor and nurse, podiatry, physiotherapy, speech and language pathology, blood sampling and a scoliosis clinic will also be offered at this aubergine. Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne said that this is one of 18 aubergines held around Malta and Gozo in the last two years.
“In the last few weeks in the field of primary care, in addition to this aubergine, the one in Marsaskala and Ħal Tarxien has also been opened, as well as the reopening of the Gżira Health Center. This is as we are committed to providing the best health service to the people, “said Chris Fearne, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health.
Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat reiterated his commitment to continue opening more community health centers in all towns and villages around Malta and Gozo funded by the Social and National Development Fund. “The opening of the health auberge in Ħamrun, is the 18th health center in the community that we have opened so far. That means investment. We will continue to invest in the health of our country, and we will continue to distribute this wealth to everyone, “said Parliamentary Secretary Alex Muscat.
