First phase of Sirens ASC Swimming Pool project inaugurated with an investment of € 3 million

The first phase of the Sirens ASC Swimming Pool project, with an investment of € 3 million, has been inaugurated and can now be enjoyed in a regenerated manner by the public. This is another state-of-the-art facility, with an investment in athletes and water sports.

Education and Sport Minister Clifton Grima said this is another project that will benefit the community and make a difference in people’s lives. “We strongly believe that sport is an essential part of the lives of Maltese and Gozitans. And that is why in recent years we have invested unprecedentedly in the sports sector, to raise the level of the sports facilities we have in the Maltese islands “.

He announced that with the agreement reached, the swimming pool will be heated in the winter months. “We are committed to improving sports facilities. Here too we are seeing that our athletes will be able to make use of these facilities throughout the year, without inconvenience and in the environment in which they are accustomed to training “, explained Minister Grima.
