Minister Borg began the visit with an official meeting with the Minister of Transport and Communications of Qatar, Mr. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti. The Maltese delegation discussed several topics, in particular the future collaboration between the two countries.

In light of the work on the aviation sector, Minister Ian Borg and the rest of the delegation also met with Qatar Airways Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker.
