Sirens showed more of their premier credentials as they came from a goal down to beat Valletta on Sunday and go fifth in the table.
City, with just six wins so far this season, got off to the perfect start when Ivan Curjuric found the top corner of the net.
Sirens quickly recovered and two goals in the space of fifteen minutes saw them take a lead they never relinquished. Vitor Vieira’s neat touch drew them level with Valletta and Vieira made it 2-1 for Sirens halfway through the first 45 minutes.
Another upset for Valletta who are still stuck in the bottom half of the table while the team from Qawra sit comfortably in the top half.
Next up for Valletta will be the weekend clash with leaders Hibernians.
