The Ministry of the Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement announced that Colonel Clinton O’Neill has been appointed Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta.
Colonel O’Neill will be replacing Colonel Mark Mallia, who will be heading up the Identity Malta agency.
The appointment was announced by Interior and National Security Minister Byron Camilleri.
Colonel O’Neill has been serving in the Armed Forces of Malta for twenty-nine years and has extensive experience in the field. In 2016 he was appointed Colonel of the Operations, Plans and Intelligence Branch of the Armed Forces of Malta. Colonel O’Neill is also a lecturer at the Maritime Safety and Security Training Center (MSSTC), where he teaches military personnel, both Maltese and foreign in the Search and Rescue process and Maritime Law.
