65 projects from youth organizations benefit from two schemes of more than € 100,000

Through the Assistance 4 You and Be Active schemes, the Ministry of Inclusion, Quality of Life and Volunteering, together with the Youth Agency, are facilitating 65 projects by youth organizations by providing them with funds that quantify for more than € 100,000.

During the award ceremony, the Minister for Inclusion, Quality of Life and Volunteering Julia Farrugia Portelli explained that through these schemes the strategic goal number 6 of the A National Youth Policy specifying that promotion should be promoted and that cooperation initiatives should be facilitated between the state, private and voluntary sectors that adopt a positive and inclusive attitude to meet the aspirations of young people. The minister said that to achieve this goal, more than € 100,000 is being allocated to these projects this year.

The 4 Assistance Scheme You will be helping to carry out 44 projects that build or strengthen youth organizations. These projects range from beautifying or improving the workplaces of organizations to purchasing resources for organizations to get to and from where they work best.

On the other hand, the Be Active scheme will provide financial assistance to 21 projects and initiatives involving other young people like them on topics related to youth empowerment, human rights, quality of life, intergenerational dialogue, the environment and social inclusion. These projects range from awareness-raising campaigns and educating about abusive relationships; visits to schools and youth centers to explore migration and what it can bring; and also the implementation of the second phase of a cafe run by young people with Down’s Syndrome.
