The Prime Minister Robert Abela inaugurated the first reserve bar of its kind in our country together with a boutique hotel in the heart of the capital city.

Operated locally by the db group, the international company Starbucks has re-chosen our country to expand its services through a reserve bar that will create 20 new jobs and is part of the inauguration of the Melior hotel, with € 2 million investment and equipped with 18 rooms.

The Reserve Bar will provide an opportunity for local and international customers to experience high and unique coffee quality from 30 countries around the world, using state-of-the-art technology and machinery powered by highly skilled baristas.

During the inauguration at the beginning of Republic Street, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that in the last two years we have given confidence and help to the sector, because we know how much investors would use that aid not only to live but to invest more.

In this context, Dr Abela directly addressed the resilient leadership of the db Group. “It simply came to our notice then. The more you grow, the more you employ. You have given us a reason to choose to invest in business and save jobs through key measures such as the wage supplement. “

The Prime Minister listed two factors that stood out at the inauguration: the ability of the Maltese investor and the international aspect. “This will raise the level not only of your company, but also of the Maltese product,” said Dr Abela.

“Our country is continuing on the road to recovery, thanks to businesses like yours as well. The more you are willing to invest, the more you will find an administration that will support you to create jobs and opportunities, ”concluded the Prime Minister.

For his part, Tourism and Consumer Protection Minister Clayton Bartolo said such an inauguration was a lively celebration of investment and opportunity.
