The Opposition Nationalist Party has laid out a list of proposals it says are aimed at combating corruption.
Party Leader Bernard Grech said the government had failed to act on recommendations of the Daphne Caruana Galizia public inquiry and the FATF greylisting.
The Bills include proposals limiting government’s duties and actions during an election campaign; a special inquiring magistrate to focus only on corruption investigations obstruction of justice, and omission of duty by public officers as well as a Bill to include a declaration in favour of journalism, to be enshrined in the Maltese Constitution.
