Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri inaugurated the restoration works carried out on two old niches at the entrance of the Citadel, while announcing an investment that will see the installation of unique benches in the Cathedral Square.
Minister Camilleri stated that this is a testament to a government that truly works and invests in order to preserve the unique heritage of our country, particularly of the island of Gozo. He mentioned how, “The niches, one of St. Anne and the other of Our Lady of Solitude, are among the oldest in Gozo. They needed restoration work not only to protect them from further deterioration but also to give their surroundings a better look. “
