The current wage supplement will be extended until the end of January 2022, with the situation to be kept under review. This was stated by Prime Minister Robert Abela when asked about the subject before meetings in Brussels.
The Prime Minister explained that this one-month extension was approved by the Cabinet after taking into account the international scenario and the need to support the recovery of our country.
The Prime Minister reminded that the government embraces the principle of not leaving people alone and that is why in the midst of a pandemic our country has the lowest unemployment rate in history.
