Christmas has come around again – and it’s time to step into the festive season with a TOI TOI trip down memory lane with family and friends.
For one show only, TOI TOI Christmas Classics will make your days merry and bright with heart-warming festive favourites for the old and the young.
“TOI TOI Christmas Classics is bursting with Christmas songs for the whole family,” says Kate Fenech Field, TOI TOI Learning and Participation Manager, offering a sneak-peek at the festive goodies in the event’s programme. “Featuring music from the Golden era of 40’s, Bing Crosby and Judy Garland relaxed concert style, as well as recent songs by current artists like Michael Bublé and Kelly Clarkson. One of the many highlights is a tongue-in-cheek, interactive version of The Twelve Days of Christmas, plus a medley of hits for the younger audience to join in with too.”
Singers from the TOI TOI Collective will bring the magic of Christmastime to Teatru Manoel, joining audience favourite Ms Julie James in her family musical get-together alongside other special guests including Tom Armitage, Michaela Fenech and Rambert
Attard. Behind the scenes of the yuletide fun, the show’s concept and creative production is by Kate Fenech Field, with Tom Armitage as Music Director.
“The audience will be warmly welcomed by Julie into her cosy front room on the Manoel stage, complete with a grand piano and Christmas tree, for a festive singalong with friends,” shares Ms Fenech Field. “The shared enjoyment of recognising melodies and humming along applies to all ages. We are looking forward to seeing grandparents, aunties, parents and children loving this experience and making unforgettable Christmas memories together.”
TOI TOI Christmas Classics will be performed at Teatru Manoel, Valletta, at 5pm on 19 December 2021, for audience members aged six and above. All current COVID-19 guidelines apply.
