Dr. Walter Busuttil has been appointed the Government’s chief physician, after Dr Dennis Vella Baldacchino was appointed Commissioner for Mental Health a few weeks ago.
Walter Busuttil graduated as a doctor from the University of Malta in 1987. He continued his studies both in our country and abroad where in 2001 he became a cardiac surgeon (Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon).
In addition to medicine, Dr. Busuttil is also a graduate in Business Administration. For the past 4 years he has served as Medical Director at Mater Dei Hospital.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne wished Dr Busuttil all the best in his new post, and thanked Dr Dennis Vella Baldacchino who had held the same post for a number of years.
