Prime Minister visits a vaccination centre where the booster jab is being given

Prime Minister Robert Abela visited the vaccination centre at the University of Malta, from where, along with dozens of other places across the country, the booster jab is being provided.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne.

The delivery of the booster is going very efficiently and this means that from Monday, November 29, online registration will be open to anyone over 50 years old.

Prime Minister Robert Abela recalled how expert studies are reaffirming how effective the vaccine is and argued how the booster is the next step – hence the emphasis on getting everyone to respond to the call it takes the vaccine, when given.

While he was able to follow closely the work being done in the vaccination process, the Prime Minister thanked all those present for their work.

Among them, a good number of students who are offering their service in these centers in their free time with the aim of keeping the vaccination rate in our country moving at a fast and consistent pace.

Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne once again urged the Maltese and Gozitan people to accept the invitation and register to take the booster, so that together we can continue to fight this virus with the best possible tools.

The Coordinator at the Vaccination Centres Mr. Jorgen Souness sincerely thanked hundreds of students from different fields who are finding the time to attend the vaccination centres and take part in the vaccination process or in the necessary daily preparations.
