Ministery of Solidarity and Social Justice presents laptops to Hospice Movement

Minister for Social Justice and Solidarity, the Family and Children's Rights Michael Falzon presents a new project with St Michael's Hospice - Dar Qalb ta' Ġesù, (St Michael's Hospice), St Joseph High Road, Santa Venera - 5-11-2021
The Ministry of Solidarity and Social Justice, the Family and the Rights of the Child acknowledged the work of the Hospice Movement with the presentation of electronic equipment to further strengthen and maximize the work of professionals in the community.

 This work is mainly done with patients affected by cancer, as well as by offering emotional support to the families of these people, who are also going through a difficult time.

During a visit to the building that will host St Michael’s Hospice, Minister Michael Falzon presented ten laptops, describing this gesture as one that recognizes the great work that the Hospice does. Minister Michael Falzon said that this Ministry already has a social agreement with the Hospice in order to finance its operation and management.

 
In fact, this agreement amounts to one million euros spread over a period of three years. This is with the aim of continuing to provide the best psycho-social support service for families, and professional assistance and care services.
