Malta U21 Team Coach Gilbert Agius has announced his provisional 29-man squad ahead of November UEFA European U21 Championship Qualifying Group C.
The boys welcome daunting Spain for the 90 minutes to be contested at the Centenary Stadium on Friday 12th of the month, upon flying to the UK to face Northern Ireland on Tuesday 16th November at the Mourneview Park in Lurgan.
Few changes in the squad from last month’s encounters as coach Agius and his players will pursue more improvement following a narrow 2-1 defeat in Alytus against Lithuania and a 4-0 loss in Nitra against Slovakia.
Adam Magri Overend has once again been selected for the senior squad, joining him is San Ġwann keeper Cain Formosa, also included in the provisional National A Team.
In total seven new faces in this provisional squad, Zean Leonardi (Pieta’ Hotspurs), Nikolai Micallef (Ħamrun Spartans), Michael Gatt (Qrendi FC), Gianluca Sciberras (Mosta FC), Leo Agius (KVC Westerlo) and Marsaxlokk duo, Calvin Camilleri and Ryan Tonna.
