Highly-acclaimed Maltese film Luzzu will be Malta’s contender for Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards which take place on March 27 2022.
Alex Camilleri’s film has already won the Grand Prize in the Japanese International Cinema Festival.
Lead actor Jesmark Scicluna, has also won the Sundance Film Festival’s Special Jury Award for his performance.
The Best International Film contenders will be short-listed to just 15 finalists on 21st December of this year, and then down to the final five Oscar Nominees on 8th February.
