Deputy prime minister Chris Fearne announced that so far no clusters of COVID-19 have been registered in schools and thus this allows further restrictive measures to be reduced.

From Monday, activities attended by people who have the vaccine certificate, will be able to set up tables with eight people, with a distance of one and a half meters (1.5m) between the tables if the event is inside, or a meter (1m) between the tables if the event is outside. The deputy prime minister explained that this measure could also apply to weddings with vaccinated guests. This while the distance for activities with less than 300 people will drop to one meter (1m) between seats – this measure also applies to theaters and cinemas with vaccinated customers.

Chris Fearne has announced that transport capacity will rise to 80% from Monday.

He also announced that from today Malta will start recognizing the Vaccine Certificates of Armenia, Moldova, Iraq and South Korea.
