Education Minister orders investigation into 3-year-old girl left on school bus

After the media reported a case of a 3-year-old girl who did not get off the transport allocated for the 3-16 Club service offered by the FES after school hours, the Minister for Education Justyne Caruana immediately instructed the ministry management to thoroughly investigate this case and to take any action that is necessary in the circumstances.

The board of inquiry is made up of former Judge Philip Sciberras, Mr Josie Brincat, former Assistant Commissioner and Ms Salvina Muscat, a retired educator and former assistant director at the Ministry of Education.

Action was also taken to notify the operator that the driver concerned would be immediately stopped from operating on the free student transport scheme.
